Swept Away Collective is a lifestyle photography brand rooted in connection, presence, and real life as it unfolds. I specialize in family, maternity, couples, motherhood, seniors, and small-business branding sessions—capturing people exactly as they are in this season, not just how they look. I serve families, parents, couples, and entrepreneurs who value authenticity over perfection. My clients are often juggling a lot: careers, kids, milestones, transitions, and want their memories preserved in a way that feels honest, relaxed, and meaningful. What makes Swept Away Collective unique is the experience. Sessions are designed to feel natural and low-pressure, with gentle guidance that allows genuine moments to lead. I focus on storytelling, emotion, and connection—those in-between moments that become the ones you treasure most. Beyond photography, I aim to serve my community by creating space for people to slow down, be present, and see the beauty in their everyday lives. Whether I’m documenting a family’s legacy or helping a small business show up confidently and consistently, my work is about honoring growth, change, and the seasons that shape us.

Meet the Woman Behind the Business
Shannon Fangsrud
I’m Shannon, the photographer behind Swept Away Collective. I started this business out of a deep appreciation for storytelling and the quiet beauty of everyday life. What began as a creative outlet quickly became a calling, to help people slow down and hold onto moments that pass far too quickly. I’m especially inspired by seasons of transition: becoming a parent, growing a family, celebrating milestones, or stepping into a new chapter personally or professionally. As a mom myself, I understand how fleeting these moments are, and that perspective shapes the way I approach my work, with empathy, patience, and intention. I’m passionate about creating images that feel honest and lived-in, not staged or forced. I believe photography should feel like an experience, not a performance, one where people feel comfortable, seen, and truly themselves. To me, growth isn’t about doing more for the sake of it. It’s about alignment, sustainability, and depth, building something meaningful while staying present for the life happening alongside it. Growth means serving my clients well, nurturing my community, and continuing to evolve both creatively and personally.
